What does a Plant Controls Specialist do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Maintain, troubleshoot, install and recommend control changes or practices on production lines. Find and implement control change to maximize efficiency within the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Visually and electronically inspect and identify control equipment issues and troubleshoot and repair as needed to ensure line efficiencies
- Direct maintenance technicians in installing control equipment to sustain or improve operational efficiencies
- Install, maintain, repair and replace control equipment by leveraging internal knowledge and vendors
- Train electricians and maintenance staff on how to maintain control on electrical systems
- Configure and maintain industrial networks such as Ethernet, Devicenet, Controlnet, DH+ and Remote I/O to enable continuous operation of equipment
- Program control equipment of machines to facilitate use by other employees and ensure machines function meet production demands.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering preferred
- High School diploma and Controls Systems Certification required
- Proficient with PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, electrical design, Variable Frequency Drive’s, Industrial Electrical hardware required
- 4+ years Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience required
- 6+ years working with controls in industrial manufacturing required
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs and Networks (Devicnet, Controlnet, DH+, Remote I/O and Ethernet)
- Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, sensors (PNP, NPN), Tranmitters (Temperature, Flow, Conductivity, pH, Pressure)
- Knowledge of Servo motors
- Ability to work with and lead a team maintenance technicians
- Ability to interact and work with other departments
