Director of Asset Management - Sunroad Asset Management

Job Summary:

The Director of Asset Management is responsible for achieving the strategies put forth by the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Asset Management. This role works in partnership with other financial and business leaders. Goals and objectives need to be met, and best practices need to be followed.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver results in a timely manner, on-budget balancing financial and reputational results.
  • Follow standards and best practices while managing asset portfolios
  • Supporting the Multifamily Division and the Real Estate Division for Sunroad Enterprises
  • Other tasks and Duties that may be assigned
  • Routine site visits to meet with property management company, inspect the property and review performance.
  • Routine travel to and from HQ in San Diego for monthly financial meetings and strategy sessions. 
  • Able to multi-task and manage a broad spectrum of projects simultaneously.
  • Make recommendations on the acquisition and disposition strategy of assets.
  • Answer investor, lender, and ownership questions regarding performance.
  • Collaborate across the vertical on unit renovations, clubhouse, and property improvements. 
  • Maintain a cohesive and positive working relationship with the operating partners.
  • Find and create value by maximizing the profitability of the assets.
  • Provide strategy and direction to the operating partners and manage the key KPI’s to ensure all assets are withing the guardrails.
  • Review marketing, sales and conversion performance and provide the operating companies with direction.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state license
  • Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California within 30 days
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description
  • Able to travel two or three days at a time.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Real Estate or Finance
  • Strong foundation in multifamily investing and portfolio management, A minimum of Five (5) years of multifamily related experience
  • Experience working with the investing arm of a large Private Equity firm.
  • Experience in real estate data analysis
  • A passion for driving positive results
  • Excellent communication skills, and deliver top service to all, including customers, employees, and finance insurance vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears; occasionally lifts up to 15 pounds. 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at desk and working on a computer
