Position Title:             Accounts Receivable Representative

Exempt Status:           Non Exempt

Accountable To:         Accounting Manager

Job Summary:             The Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for accurately handling and posting payments for invoices in a trustworthy and timely manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Handles Payments from customers – checks and cash.
• Posts Payments accurately into system.
• Produces statements for customers through system showing amount owed.
• Gets these statements ready for mailing by putting them in envelopes.
• Tracks down if a payment can’t be identified to be sure it gets credited to the correct account.
• Completes miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Detail oriented, accurate with numbers, mathematical
• Proficient with an adding machine.
• Independent and self motivated. Able to stay productively busy.
• Sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time while also being able to retrieve paperwork from copiers and other sources.
• Correctly retrieve and input data in computer
• Recognize the confidential nature of the job and maintain this confidence
• Work under pressure and maintain a cheerful spirit

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Education or equivalent.
• Some accounting experience preferred.
