Job Objective

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all mechanical equipment and systems. This includes both interior and exterior building maintenance. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment, controls, and monitoring systems will be crucial to our operations.

Job Standards

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical Training: Completion of a 2-year technical degree or technical training certifications
• Licenses: Universal refrigeration license (desirable), High or Low pressure boiler license (desirable)
• Experience: Minimum of three years in Plant Operations, Environmental Services, or Construction
• Skills: Strong mechanical ability and aptitude, in-depth knowledge of construction and maintenance principles and procedures
• Technical Expertise: Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, including water and pressure testing; ability to weld and cut metals
• Responsiveness: Efficiently respond to work orders and be accountable for work performed
• Tech Savvy: Basic knowledge of computers, WiFi, and TV cable systems
• Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed; work with rotating “On Call” and “Weekend shift Schedules”
• Physical Capability: Perform demanding maintenance tasks, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting objects up to 80 lbs, moving furniture and appliances, setting up rooms for special events, and maintaining equipment
• Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or residential facility
• Driver's License: Valid Wisconsin driver's license
• Safety: Ability to safely perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
