The Paralegal will work closely with the General Counsel and other attorneys on a variety of legal, transactional, and operational matters affecting the Company (as experience and aptitude dictate), with a heavy emphasis on real estate transactional activity.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Drafting and reviewing land acquisition contracts and related documents
- Performing title and survey review on the property being acquired
- Reviewing and analyzing other due diligence associated with the acquisition of property
- Assisting in the closing of land acquisition transactions
- Administering legal and operational issues relating to the development, opening, and operation of neighborhoods and the sale of homes
- Summarizing and tracking key contract information, including critical dates
- Maintaining records in the legal department matter management database
- Drafting and reviewing other legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
- Working on corporate governance matters
- Researching, organizing, and analyzing legal or factual information as needed
- Assisting company attorneys on a variety of legal and operational matters to efficiently deliver legal services to the Company

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Paralegal certification is preferred
- At least 5 years of legal experience
