Summary

The AI Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and implementing AI systems that can solve complex business problems and provide deep analytics. AI Architects are responsible for selecting the appropriate AI technologies and tools to implement the solutions, and ensuring that the solutions are scalable, reliable, and efficient. They work closely with stakeholders to understand the business requirements and design solutions that meet those requirements. This role will identify, assess, and develop Generative AI and AI/ML applications by applying key industry tools, techniques, and methodologies to solve problems. The role will help leverage accelerators within OHIP’s Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW) Google-based AI platform by helping create new models, finding opportunities to use vendor accelerators, developing migration paths, and helping minimize time-to-market in the delivery of meaningful analytics for Medicaid related data. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and tools 
  • Ability to model, build, and test AI software to ensure it can take on large swaths of data and achieve desired results 
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ 
  • Hands on knowledge in machine learning  / deep learning with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch 
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud 
  • Proven understanding of statistics and data science for extracting insights from complex data 
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and the ability to identify best algorithms to solve problems and train AI models 
  • Strong communication and leadership skills 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in training and fine-tuning models in large-scale environments with accelerators. 
  • Experience with CI/CD solutions in the context of MLOps and LLMOps, including automation with IaC (e.g., using terraform). 
  • Experience with distributed training and optimizing performance versus costs. 
  • Experience in systems design, with the ability to architect and explain data pipelines, ML pipelines, and ML training and serving approaches. 
  • Experience designing/architecting large-scale infrastructure farms for specialist AI use cases. 
  • Experience running MLPerf benchmarks. 
  • Background with REST API development, NoSQL design, RDBMS design

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Understanding the program area business processes and objectives.  
  • Supporting OHIP’s AI Center of Excellence by building solutions spanning data, AI and Infrastructure, and working with vendors and peers to holistically leverage AI service offerings into overall architecture. 
  • Make recommendations on enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructures required to successfully implement complete solutions, providing best practice advice to optimize effectiveness of AI solutions for analytics. 
  • Differentiate by working across teams on POCs, demonstrating features, tuning models, optimizing model performance, profiling, and benchmarking. Troubleshoot and find solutions to issues training/serving models in a large-scale environment. 
  • Build repeatable technical assets such as scripts, templates, reference architectures to enable internal teams. Work cross-functionally to influence DDSA’s AI strategic roadmap and product direction at the intersection of robust data analytics and AI/ML. 

 

Educational Background:

  • The successful candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science or a related field and/or up to 5-6 years of relevant work experience.

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
