Senior Healthcare Program Specialist - Albany, NY
(100% remote)
Summary:
The candidate must have an understanding and knowledge of Children Services with clinical or practice knowledge regarding medical and behavioral health conditions, excellent time management and communication skills, and the ability to work with providers and State agencies regarding the various children’s populations of Serious Emotional Disturbance, Foster Care, Medically Fragile, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use and other chronic conditions. The preferred candidate also has an understanding and knowledge of Medicaid and Medicaid services.
- Become knowledgeable and develop an understanding of the Children’s Health Home program, Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Children’s Waiver, Children and Family Treatment and Support Services, and Foster Care/29-I services to determine changes and or enhancements to the services and programs.
- Assist the supervisor and staff in the Office of Health Insurance Programs (OHIP), Division of Program Development and Management (DPDM) in a broad range of planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting activities.
- Research regulations and develop policies, procedures and guidance documents related to a wide range of subjects relevant to the development, implementation, and management of the children services, inclusive of developing power points, presenting training webinars, drafting announcements.
- Lead program projects and initiatives addressing needs within the Children’s Services design.
- Synthesize information and feedback to determine the need for new services or changes to current services. Evaluate and research implementation strategies for the services. Present solution focus information regarding program services to the team and supervisor.
- Assist with system enhancements by providing program knowledge and understanding for the CANS-NY, Capacity Management, Service Tracker, and MAPP HHTS.
- Assist with developing and maintain tracking systems for the Bureau.
- Collaborate and work with staff, contractors, and state partners regarding various project and program aspects of Children Services of the Health Homes and HCBS program as well as State Plan Services.
- Assist with oversight and management of team assignments, and provide technical assistance and direction to staff, as needed.
- Other activities as may be deemed necessary in response to the changing needs of OHIP.
Basic Qualifications:
- 9 years of experience in healthcare
- An associate degree in a related field can count for 2 years of experience, a Bachelor’s can count for 4 years of experience, and a Master’s can count for 5 years of experience.
- Must be a United States Citizen or a Permanent Resident of the United States to be considered Ideally
Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
