Senior Healthcare Program Specialist – Aging & Long Term Care in Albany, NY

Duties:
- Under the direction of the Supervisor and Director/Deputy Director for the Center for Aging and LTC Regulatory and Policy Initiatives, the incumbent will conduct research on aging and long-term care service delivery systems, including costs, demographic and geographic impact, utilization rates and other available information and data to inform policy leads on innovative models of care, service delivery and workforce challenges and opportunities.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities within paced environment
- As a critical member of the Master Plan for Aging implementation team, the incumbent will be responsible to assist Subcommittee leads work groups and other internal and external partners with organizing meetings, content, and recommendations made from various subcommittee meetings
- The incumbent will assist with content preparation for meetings, conferences and town hall gatherings for external partners related to the implementation and progress of the Master Plan for Aging committee and council work in which various topics including economic security; housing, community development and transportation; Safety and Security; formal and informal caregiving; long term services and supports, home and community-based services, health and wellness
- Any other duties as assigned including participation in meetings and workgroups associated with long term care support and age friendly iniatives.
Basic Qualifications:
- 9 years of experience in healthcare
- An associate degree can count as 2 years of experience, a bachelor's degree can count as 4 years of experience, and a master's degree can count as 5 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and/or experience of the long-term care system in New York State.
- Ability to organize and create tables, charts and graphs based on data trends
- The ability to research specific topics, collect data and synthesize material into a formal recommendation to Center leadership.
- Strong ability work as part of team and to work independently with minimal supervision.
Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
