Summary
This candidate would serve as a Principal Healthcare Data Analyst for NY State of Health. The NY State of Health (NYSOH) marketplace provides affordable, comprehensive health insurance coverage to more than six and a half million New Yorkers. In this position the analyst will produce business intelligence solutions by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports; devises methods for identifying data patterns and trends in data sources; assesses data structures and how they can be used to produce desired reports; researches new data sources and analytical tools, and recommends solutions; conducts or coordinates tests to ensure that business intelligence solutions are consistent with defined needs; tests, validates, and
reformulates models to ensure accurate prediction of outcomes of interest; drafts new
functions or applications in programming languages to conduct analyses; creates
written reports and effectively communicates/presents results; and may supervise lower
level staff.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with the Affordable Care Act and New York State public health insurance programs.
Education
8 years of SAS, SQL, Tableau, Python, R or equivalent analytical/programming software experience, Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, & Excel
*Employees must follow established work schedules. The usual work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified by the supervisor, this includes a half hour unpaid lunch break. Total work hours must equal 37.5 hours per week.
Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
