About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mandarin Teacher to join our community and work with both preschool and elementary students. This unique, position involves creating an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for our youngest learners while offering a more advanced, interdisciplinary approach for our elementary students. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for language and culture, support each student’s learning journey, and adapt lessons to foster intellectual curiosity and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mandarin language and cultural fundamentals to preschool and elementary students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to preschool and elementary age groups, promoting language acquisition and cross-cultural understanding.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore and appreciate Mandarin language and culture.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate Mandarin language instruction across subjects.
  • Utilize formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Engage regularly with parents to communicate student progress and encourage continued language practice.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, language instruction, or a related field
  • Prior experience teaching Mandarin to children, especially within both preschool and elementary age groups
  • Ability to inspire curiosity and cultural awareness among young learners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a dynamic split schedule effectively
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks
