Location: Greater MetroWest Area
Schedule: Monday-Friday (20-32 hours a week)
Pay rate: $20.00/hour

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Additional Peer Support/Recovery Coach trainings and certifications highly preferred
- Must have lived experience with mental health, substance use conditions or family supporting a family member with behavioral health or substance use challenges, and be in recovery, if applicable. Preferred is a current or former recipient of behavioral health services
- Ability to use Electronic Health Record to document services
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in contemporary Windows operating systems and Windows office suits with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn new computer systems, experience working with data, and comfort and experience using mobile technologies
- Strongly prefer that candidate will have demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations
- High energy level, flexible, superior interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team atmosphere
- Strong ability to work independently
- MUST hold a valid driver’s license. Must have access to a safe, operational and insurance vehicle and be willing to use it for work
The Peer Recovery Support Navigator is responsible for:
- Providing support with outreaching, engaging, and assisting enrollees in identifying their recovery goals and developing recovery plans
- Modeling recovery principles and practices within the BHCP team
- Providing linkages to recovery-oriented, peer support, self-help supports, community based mental health, substances use disorder and family support programs
- Provide assistance with navigating insurance and the healthcare system
- Providing support to individuals while they are in the hospital, detoxification programs, 24-hour and other levels of care, emergency departments, and out of home placements
- Providing assistance with solving problems directed related to recovery, including finding sober housing, making friends, finding new uses of spare time, and improving job or other life skills
- Assist with identifying and engaging Consumer Advisory Board members and support them in their participation
- Demonstrate a proactive commitment to maintaining effective communication with staff, enrollees, care team members, other collaterals, and other stakeholders and customers
- Promote strong working relationships and excellent customer service
- Actively participate in team meetings and supervisions
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner
- Ensure that individuals receiving services are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with BHPMW’s Human Rights Policy
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality policies at all times, including when responding to inquiries for enrollee information
- Strong ability to work independently
