JOB SUMMARY: SPATCO is looking for an energetic Geologist to join our team. This person will be responsible for investigations and analyze geological. Perform site visits, field observations, and field data collection.
Essential functions:
- Conduct geological investigations and analyze geological data;
- Perform site visits, field observations, and field data collection;
- Log soil and rock cores and install monitoring wells;
- Soil, vapor, groundwater, and surface water sampling;
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to verify conformance with scopes of work;
- Work with multi-disciplinary project teams of scientists, engineers, geologists, and field personnel on complex projects;
- Able to work independently in a variety of work environments and tasks
- Act as liaison between clients and regulatory agencies;
- Project cost estimating;
- Assist with job setups, permits, project documentation, project schedules, change orders, equipment delivery status, progress billings, and project closeout documentation;
- Prepare, write, and review technical reports;
- Prepare Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Qualifications, Experience, and Competency:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology.
- Two years of experience in Geology or a related field.
- Be able to obtain P.G. licensure within 24-36 months
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Some overnight travel is required
- You will be required to pass a drug screen & background check for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Arkansas Registered Professional Geologist
- Experience in hydrogeological field investigations and groundwater sampling
- Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) 40-hour and current 8-hour training.
