SUMMARY:

The Operational Performance Manager will play a critical role in optimizing our distribution processes and enhancing overall performance. This role involves analyzing operational data, managing performance metrics, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency across our ERP and WMS systems. Additionally, the role will focus on optimizing facility design to maximize operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operational management within a distribution environment, along with expertise in ERP and WMS systems. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Operations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational efficiency. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management regarding performance trends and areas for improvement.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for optimizing workflows.
  • Assess and optimize facility layouts and designs to improve operational efficiency. Work closely with facility planners and engineers to design and implement changes that enhance space utilization, streamline material flow, and support effective storage and distribution operations.
  • Oversee the integration and effective utilization of ERP and WMS systems. Ensure that these systems are configured to meet operational needs and support performance objectives.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess operational performance and make data-driven decisions. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the ERP and WMS systems.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to staff on best practices related to ERP and WMS usage. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure that operational processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Monitor adherence to best practices and quality standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting operational issues related to ERP and WMS systems. Work with IT and other departments to resolve issues promptly and effectively.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of operational management experience.
  • Industry and product experience preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
