POSITION SUMMARY

Seeking a Treasury Analyst to join SMP which is located in Long Island City, NY.  The position will be responsible for administering our domestic factoring program, executing foreign currency trades, tracking daily customer receipts, payments and reporting, daily cash management as needed, administration of bank accounts and online banking systems.  In addition, this position will be involved in assisting management with automation of treasury core processes.

The expectation is that the individual in this role will be eligible for job rotation within finance/accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer our U.S. factoring program and track the associated financial metrics
• Execute foreign currency exchange trades and deliver payment instructions
• Track daily collections against payment credit to customer accounts by our accounts receivable team
• Determine daily cash position and borrowing needs as needed
• Support daily cash operations
• Process electronic payments (wires and ACH)
• Prepare monthly reporting for factoring and foreign currency activities
• Bank Account Administration
• Treasury System Administration
• Investigate and resolve banking issues
• Assist with special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, accounting or business administration
• Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience. Experience in Treasury and electronic banking a plus
• Basic knowledge of finance and accounting principles
• Strong interpersonal communications skills
• Successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be very detailed-oriented, able to prioritize duties and meet a variety of deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong MS Office Skills (especially Excel) and experience using a treasury management systems (specifically Kyriba) are a plus
• Team player

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000- $105,000.
