Overall Scope

Perform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Supervisor to successfully operate the assigned machinery in the Component area. Produce parts in accordance with work SOPs that conform to quality standards.  Machines must be operated in a safe and efficient manner.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Education or experience with machining operations.
• Experience with similar or like machinery.
• Experience with gauging.
• Prefer experience with Statistical Process Control

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Set up machines to run parts as defined by the planning documents.
• Operate machines to safely produce component parts to production and quality targets.
• Perform in-process inspections.
• Make machine adjustments as necessary to maintain product conformance.
• Track quality using various run charts.
• Segregate non-conforming products.
• Acquire consumables from plant stores.
• Perform changeovers to machines as necessary.
• Perform tooling changes and touch-offs
• Communicate to Process or Cell Technician and Leadership as necessary.
• Perform work by SOPs and safety rules.

Ergonomic Focus

• Working machine station.
• Making adjustments to switches and dials.
• Using various measuring devices.
• Lifting up to 20 lbs. frequently
• Standing/walking/sitting during a 10-hour work shift

Hours: 1^st shift

Primary work hours are between 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday- Thursday. Over time as needed
