PURPOSE
- The Strategic Pricing Analyst will serve as a vital part of the organization in supporting strategic initiatives as well as work on ad-hoc pricing related projects. This entry-level position will assist with analytics that measure product profitability and support the development of pricing strategies and plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Responsible for pricing analysis, validation, data cleansing, collection and reporting
- Retrieve and analyze information / data, including manual files, external websites and statistical metrics from various sources that support senior management decisions
- Respond to informational / data inquiries from various groups within the organization
- Analyze and validate sales quotations for accuracy and profitability
- Perform margin and pricing analysis to support business initiatives
- Liaison between SMC US and SMC JP for competitive pricing situations
- Document reporting requirements, operational processes and validate data components is required
- Create and publish regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc reports as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Position requires extensive work using a computer
- Maintain seated posture for 8 or more hours per day
- May require evening and weekend work in response to the needs of the systems being supported

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Economics or related analytical field
- Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy
- Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be proficient in MS Excel (including Pivot Tables, Macros and formulas).
