Adult Programming Coordinator - Adult Services
St. Louis County Library
The Adult Service Department is seeking a full time Adult Programming Coordinator who coordinates the planning and implementation of high-quality in-person and virtual programs, system-wide initiatives, and grants for adults of all ages in support of the Library’s mission.

We have transformed into a meaningful community resource with updated facilities and an array of programs and partnerships that serve over 860,000 patrons.
Salary: $59,637.00
Hours:
40 hours per week, evenings and weekends required
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates, prepares, schedules, and presents programs, system-wide initiatives, and grant projects to engage an adult audience.
2. Represents St. Louis County Library to establish and foster professional relationships with other organizations as means of extending the Library’s programming capabilities.
3. Works collaboratively with department and branch staff in support of adult programming initiatives.
4. Lead and collaborate with library staff and community partners on virtual programs.
5. Compiles accurate statistics and writes evaluative reports to help assess the efficacy of programming efforts.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrated expertise in the planning, development, and presentation of programs for adults
- Demonstrated experience developing relationships and/or partnerships in the community
- Must possess a commitment to a high level of public service to Library customers and staff
- Must possess excellent communication and organization skills
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to use a computer or other office machines
- Ability to manage several projects at one time, establishing priorities as needed
- Ability to work effectively with others in a professional manner
- Advanced knowledge of Zoom platform for meetings and webinars

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- Ability to bend to very low shelves or reach to very high shelves when retrieving Library
- materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Ability to push a full cart of books or other Library materials
- Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to operate various types of Library equipment
- Ability to use a pc, word processing, email, and Google Suite
- Ability to deal sensitively and tactfully with customers and staff
