Position Summary:

SkyWater is seeking a highly experienced, strategic Senior Director of Product Management & Business Development for the Advanced Packaging Business Unit. This key role will report into the Sr VP and GM of advanced packaging and will lead and drive the definition, positioning, and market adoption of our innovative packaging solutions. This key leadership role will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle, and collaborating with engineering, R&D and sales to deliver next-generation advanced packaging technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, packaging technologies, and a proven track record of driving product strategies and technology platforms from concept to commercialization.

Major Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape that inform strategic decisions. Create strategies that result in differentiated offering and increased market share.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.
  • Define and deliver Market Requirements for advanced packaging technology platforms.
  • Perform pricing analysis to enable go to market strategy and maximize capture of market opportunity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders, including OEMs, foundries, fabs, and R&D organizations.
  • Negotiate and close high-value partnerships, and licensing agreements to expand the reach and influence of the company’s advanced packaging solutions.
  • Own the business case for strategic engagements and drive the business process throughout the full customer engagement cycle.
  • Drive revenue growth by creating and executing go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
  • Contribute articles and create marketing collateral to promote products at launch.
  • Support corporate marketing and communications teams in branding, thought leadership, event, content & collateral production.
  • Define design win targets and drive plans to achieve them.
  • Set priorities for opportunities & market pursuits with inputs from the Advanced Packaging SVP/GM, CTO, technical and sales teams.
  • Partner with sales team on lead generation activities and maximizing design win to revenue conversion.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, business development, or sales role preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong understanding of advanced packaging technologies and applications, and/or semiconductor fabrication processes.
  • Significant knowledge of defense microelectronics market dynamics
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong business acumen, with a focus on P&L management, financial analysis, and cost optimization.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and revenue generation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.

 

U.S. Citizen Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.

Travel Requirements: 10-30% travel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in related technology field or business (MBA).
  • Strong contacts within the defense-industrial microelectronics ecosystem and/or prime contractor domain.
  • Previous experience working for a manufacturing or service-based technology business.
  • Active security clearance.

The annual salary range for this role is $187,360 - $281,040.  Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
