Principal Photolithography Process Development Engineer

Position Summary:

In the Advanced Technology Services (ATS) group at SkyWater, our team works hand in hand with customers to develop a wide range of exciting new, novel, and fully customized technologies - including superconducting ICs, quantum computing devices, carbon nanotube devices, MEMs, Bio sensors, DNA sequencing devices, Si photonics, and III-V devices. The ATS team is looking for an experienced photolithography engineer. This position is a unique opportunity within SkyWater to lead the development of multiple patterning techniques to fabricate features below the resolution limit of 193nm photolithography.

Responsibilities:

• Become subject matter expert on 193nm photolithography equipment, processes, and consumables in SkyWater MN’s fab.
• Design, execute, and report on experiments to develop OPC (optical proximity correction) models and optimize photo conditions for integration success.
• Lead effort to stand up sub-resolution feature process integration using multiple patterning. techniques and novel films deposition, planarization, and etch processes.
• Interface directly with external customers to report on technology development progress, milestones, and project risks.
• Work with customers and CAD engineers to define and create design rules, fab metrology structures, parametric test structures, and product mask sets.  
• The job also requires performing other duties as assigned, percentages of time spent on job duties are estimates and may vary for each position.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Masters or PhD in Electrical Eng, Materials Science, Chemical Eng, Physics, or related discipline. (Advanced degree preferred).

Experience and Skills:

• 5+ years experience in photolithography, with process development experience and/or integration experience preferred.
• Understanding of semiconductor equipment, unit processes and integration techniques, especially multiple patterning techniques.
• Clear problem solving capability with data driven systematic approaches to finding solutions.
• Familiar with statistical analysis tools, DOEs, and able to communicate results.
• Positive interpersonal skills, highly energetic, and self-motivated, & able to work on cross-functional teams.
• Able to articulate goals and findings to others.
• Experience planning and executing new process development activities while managing project milestone completion and schedule preferred.

US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.

The annual salary range for this role is $160,900 - $193,080.  Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
