Engineering Metrology Intern
Summary: Our SkyWater Internship program offers students an opportunity to receive training in a professional environment. Throughout your internship you will gain on-the-job experience while working along side experienced professionals who provide you with both guidance and autonomy as you work on challenging projects.
Project and responsibilities: The project will be to optimize a metrology problem for an ATS (Advanced Technology Services) project. This will involve building test wafers (ex: metal/oxide film deposition, pattern, and etch) and making measurements (ex: thickness, line width, trench depth). It will require learning how to operate wafer processing and measurement equipment as wells as designing and executing an experimental plan.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to understand project requirements in order to design and execute effective experiments.
- Learn how to operate fab equipment (deposition, pattern, etch).
- Learn how to operate fab metrology equipment (AFM, SEM, Ellipsometry, XRR).
- Learn how to coordinate and manage experiments in a production environment.
- Summarize and present findings/results.
