Transistor Development Engineering Internship
Summary: Our Internship program offers students an opportunity to receive training in a professional environment. Throughout your internship you will gain on-the-job experience while working along side experienced professionals who provide you with both guidance and autonomy as you work on challenging projects. Our internship programs run typically May - August each year.
Project and responsibilities: The goal of this project is to characterize and model transistors, capacitors, resistors, and other standard components included in process development kits, as well as provide optimized Si-validation routines for those models. Outcomes for qualified interns are guided experience in industry-standard compact model development.
• Electrical characterization and analysis of CMOS-based devices to build advanced spice models
• Optimization of compact model fitting routines and extraction process
• Layout and schematic automation to improve pipeline of design to test to analysis to verification to model deployment
• Will provide deep understanding of compact modeling theory and powerful transistor simulation tools
Required Qualifications:
Degree Program: Undergraduate, masters or doctoral programs in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
Skills & Coursework: Ideal candidates should have experience in some or all of the following: electrical characterization, device physics (condensed matter or electrical engineering), programming (python), mathematical methods in physical sciences, microfabrication
