Position Summary:
Join our dynamic team at SkyWater Technology as a Etch Process Development Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in bringing cutting-edge designs to life. SkyWater's Etch Process Development Engineer has the responsibility of owning an etch process module for specialty foundry customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop or integrate robust manufacturable process recipes for Foundry customers in etch.
- Equipment and material characterization.
- Drive continuous improvement of process capability and controls.
- Support complex process integration for CMOS/MEMS/Superconducting/Photonics or other novel device types.
- Resolve process excursions and drive permanent Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA).
- The job also requires performing other duties as assigned. Percentages of time spent on job duties are estimates and may vary for each position.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: BS, MS, or PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Eng, Chemical Eng, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of Etch process development experience
- Fab processing tools knowledge/experience, particularly with etch processing knowledge/experience.
- Knowledge of DOE, SPC, and 6-sigma concepts and applications.
- Clear problem-solving capability, data driven, inventive solution oriented and can articulate thought processes.
- Can work both independently and in cross-functional teams for problem solving.
- US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of a government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of etch process development experience
- Project Management skills and/or defined training.
