Sr. Process Integration Engineer
Position Summary:
In the Advanced Technology Services (ATS) group at Skywater, our team works hand in hand with customers to develop a wide range of exciting new, novel, and fully customized technologies - including superconducting ICs, quantum computing devices, carbon nanotube devices, MEMs, Bio sensors, DNA sequencing devices, Si photonics, and III-V devices.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of new, novel technologies and leverage the advanced capabilities of our semiconductor fabs to enable our customers to progress from idea/proof of concept through product qualification and transfer to volume manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration effort developing new technologies from initial process module and feasibility demonstration through qualification and transfer to volume manufacturing.
- Interface directly with external customers as the technical lead to create and refineprocess flows and specifications in order to successfully realize novel technologies.
- Manage technology development planning and progress with attention to failure modes, risk mitigation, and project schedule.
- Work with customers and CAD/layout/and tape out engineers to define and create design rules, fab metrology structures, parametric test structures, and product masks sets.
- Collaborate with process and equipment engineers to select tools, develop and optimize new unit processes, and find and fix process marginalities.
- Validate physical inline process specs to ensure successful device performance and yield.
- Investigate and implement process and integration changes for improved device performance, yield improvement, and process stability.

Required Qualifications:
Education: BS or MS in Electrical Eng, Materials Science, Chemical Eng, Physics, or related discipline.
Experience and Skills:
- BS and 2+ years or MS with 0 years experience in semiconductor/MEMs integration or process development.
- Understanding of semiconductor equipment, unit processes and integration techniques.
- Clear problem solving capability with data driven systematic approaches to finding solutions.
- Familiar with statistical analysis tools, DOEs, and able to communicate results.
- Positive interpersonal skills, highly energetic, and self-motivated, & able to work on cross-functional teams.
- Able to articulate goals and findings to others.
- Experience planning and executing new process development activities while managing project milestone completion and schedule preferred.
- US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
