Equipment Engineering Technician
Position Summary: The Diffusion Equipment Engineering Technician (EET) is a high-level technician role that serves as bridge into Equipment Engineering. EET’s are responsible for performing advanced corrective actions using technical and FDC knowledge, driving area/equipment improvements, creating, and executing equipment engineering plans, assisting in the installation of equipment, training, and occasionally perform standard preventative or corrective maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects or tasks to drive improvements to key metrics within the Diffusion Maintenance organization.
- Mentor and train team members.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating and repair manuals.
- Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems and put corrective actions in place.
- Rebuild/Install equipment and sub-assemblies as required.
- Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
- Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance duties on production equipment.
- Take ownership of projects and equipment improvement tasks.
- Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards.
- Work with outside vendors as required.
- Process chemical and gas handling.
- Maintains critical spares and consumables inventory.

Required Qualifications:
Education: 2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering.
Experience and Skills:
- Diffusion Semi-Conductor equipment maintenance troubleshooting and repair.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing electro\mechanical\fluidic circuit troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment modification.
- Strong data & analytics, and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
- Ability to define, initiate, manage, and execute on projects to improve tool function and metrics.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, prioritize tasks, and plan for maintenance is essential
- Experience with hand tools including wrenches, calipers, voltage/current meters, oscilloscopes and other various equipment technology specific tooling.
- A strong working knowledge of the following equipment: pneumatic/hydraulic pump systems, multi axis servo systems, vision components, chillers & cooling systems, robotics, and vacuum systems.
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.
- Competent with Windows OS interfaces, MS office suite.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work 8-12 hours shifts.
- Ability to work with and around chemicals.
- Wear complete fab attire for an entire shift and meet all safety and cleanroom requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years Semiconductor industry experience.
- Extensive practical experience and knowledge of Diffusion process, equipment, and maintenance.
