As a member of the SkyWater Manufacturing Systems team, the Systems Project Manager is a hands-on contributor role responsible for a portfolio of technology & software projects. You will lead efforts that will either modernize our existing applications or help bring new capabilities that deliver solutions that meet business objectives and strategies. This role will be an addition to our existing project management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage technology/software projects with big picture oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company strategies and coordinates various business and technical personnel during all project phases, from initiation through implementation.
  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for resources required for specific projects or initiatives.
  • Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring team members are actively working toward established milestones.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable and actionable milestones, deliverables, and decision-points.
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to develop plans to implement their technologies in accordance with company standards.
  • Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making technology decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field and/or 2-5 years of equivalent Project Management work experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods – both Waterfall and Agile.
  • Prior experience developing comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Prior experience using problem-solving skills within all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.
  • Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced degree preferred, though not required.

US Citizenship Required:This position may require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
