Simon & Schuster, LLC is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Pimsleur Language Learning team and support the growth of our language learning subscription business. This role is essential in providing data-driven insights that inform marketing strategies and overall business performance. The Business Intelligence Analyst will analyze data across web and in-app platforms, create reports and dashboards, and support decision-making at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and communication skills are critical, as this role will translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze data from both web and in-app sources to evaluate business performance and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Build, automate, and maintain reports and dashboards to make data accessible and meaningful for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support marketing and business strategies across web and in-app platforms.
  • Provide insights into customer behaviors to enhance acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies.
  • Support testing initiatives by analyzing data and offering recommendations to optimize performance.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure data accuracy, streamline reporting workflows, and maintain data integrity.
  • Maintain documentation of reporting systems and ensure clarity for users.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a business intelligence, data analysis, or marketing analytics role, with proven experience in in-app analytics and web analytics.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 is required, along with familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Strong understanding of key performance indicators across web and mobile platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to diverse audiences.

 

Please note that this role can be based out of either our New York City or Concord, MA office.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
