Job Description:

The candidate will assist two contract directors with acquisition publishing agreements and related amendments and will focus on Children’s acquisitions.  The candidate will draft, review and negotiate agreements, and be able to confidently interact with multiple adjacent company departments and literary agencies.  Key skills include the ability or manage multiple ongoing tasks; attention to detail; and a team player. The candidate must have 3-5 years previous experience working in a publishing company contracts department, drafting  and reviewing author agreements and/or subsidiary rights agreements.

We are seeking a full-time professional with contracts experience for a 3–4 month hybrid assignment, requiring 2–3 days per week in the office. The position is expected to begin in January 2025.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
