Position Summary
Provide overall support to the Marketing and Communications Division by working with marketing & communications, strategic enrollment management (SEM), graduate admissions, faculty, and external vendors to execute an integrated marketing strategy that increases the University’s brand awareness and drives university enrollment.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Graduate Marketing
- Work with strategic enrollment management (SEM), graduate admissions, and the marketing and communications team to develop both program-specific and general graduate marketing plans that support enrollment.
- Serve as the primary project manager for all graduate projects. Manage tasks, deadlines, meeting notes, and assignments in project management software (Asana). Coordinate ad plans, sponsorships, designs, copywriting, video creation, and any other necessary assets to achieve graduate enrollment goals.
- Hold check-ins with graduate admissions representatives to plan and measure marketing plans.
- Meet with graduate admissions and faculty to collaborate on ideas and content development and discuss strategy and implementation.
- Understand each area of the graduate marketing and recruitment funnel and intended audiences to exceed graduate enrollment and revenue goals.
- Content Strategy Integration: Assist in the development of a content strategy that supports University goals. Develop content that can be used to achieve multiple goals and for multichannel distribution. Collaborate with all areas of the marketing team.
- Budget Management: Assist in oversight of marketing budgets that support enrollment.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Attributes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in marketing & communications or related role.
- Marketing Project Management experience.
- Passion for marketing and content strategy.
- Demonstrated success in marketing or enrollment fields.
- Must be willing to work against tight deadlines while balancing multiple projects at once
- Sound ethical decision-making skills, enthusiasm, and respect for confidential issues.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and accountable to schedules.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must demonstrate strong writing, editorial, and proof-reading skills.
- Collaborator/Liaison. Must be a proactive communicator and a team player, eager and able to anticipate and uncover new opportunities and needs. Should have a personality that facilitates active collaboration with internal departments to support and produce marketing materials. Also acts as a steward of the SHU brand identity with regard to enrollment communications.
Unusual Working Conditions
Evening and weekend hours may be required. Occasional travel required
