Position Summary
WSHU is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to learn our broadcast traffic system, handle all aspects of client invoicing and reporting, and serve as a backup to our Traffic Manager. The ideal candidate should have some basic accounting experience. This is an in-person position.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn our on-air scheduling system—"Virtual Traffic”—thoroughly (training provided).
- Generate and send out all Underwriting invoices.
- Take payments (via phone, mail, etc.) and update VT with payment info.
- Produce updated aging reports and follow up on overdue payments.
- Provide reporting to the business office as needed.
- Coordinate on-air copy with select underwriters (seasonal clients and ad agencies).
- Handle all traffic functions when the Traffic Manager is not on site.
- Coordinate copy with select underwriters.
- As needed, help the department keep track of digital asset deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Some accounts payable and receivable experience is required.
- Must be detail-oriented, conscientious, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with traffic is a plus.
- Familiarity with public radio is a plus.
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
