POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Business Process and Analytics is a strategic leader responsible for designing and implementing data-driven processes and systems that enhance operational efficiency, optimize fleet performance, and drive cost savings. This role collaborates with key stakeholders across field operations, fleet management, procurement, and executive leadership to deliver measurable results aligned with SCA’s mission and business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a data-savvy innovator with a proven track record in operational analysis, fleet management, and process improvement. They possess a unique ability to simplify complex problems, deliver actionable insights, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enterprise Program Design and Execution

  • Develop and implement programs that improve key performance metrics such as revenue per hour, labor percentage, and route density.
  • Optimize fleet metrics, including uptime, utilization, and capital expenditure efficiency.
  • Establish industry-leading fleet lifecycle management standards, including refurbishing and remarketing programs.
  • Design and implement standardized processes for fuel management, rental systems, and fleet administration to minimize manual intervention and improve compliance.
  • Evaluate and lead the adoption of alternative fuel programs and fleet electrification strategies, considering cost-benefit analysis, regulatory requirements, and grant opportunities.

Financial and Operational Optimization

  • Analyze customer and contract-level data to identify profitability trends and develop pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to refine targeting strategies that enhance route density and asset utilization.
  • Partner with procurement to streamline sourcing spend, improve program compliance, and reduce rogue expenditures.

Technology and Analytics Leadership

  • Partner with Finance and IT to develop dashboards and scorecards, providing visibility into program performance for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Lead automation initiatives across fleet-related accounts payable, billing, tax management, and compliance systems.
  • Ensure adherence to IT standards for data security, infrastructure, and system reliability.

Team Leadership and Reporting

  • Lead and mentor a team of 1–5 analysts and administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Publish and standardize weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI reports to measure and manage critical program outcomes.
  • Oversee all aspects of vendor interface automation to enhance system reliability and data accuracy.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or process improvement roles.
  • Proven expertise in operational analysis, process simplification, and program implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics management, financial analysis, and system design.
  • Exceptional analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel / SQL / Power BI is a must. Knowledge of Data warehouses and APIs is preferred.
  • This role requires a blend of analytical thinking and hands-on engagement, with occasional travel to field sites. Candidates should be comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

COMPENSATION:

SCA offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, commensurate with experience and education.

  • Hiring Range Starting at: $130,000 per year *based on experience
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities available
