We are hiring Rockstars to join our Sauer Brands team!

Strategically lead the development of a continuous improvement culture delivering world-class operational performance.

Job Summary:

The CI Leader for the Richmond manufacturing facility is responsible for strategically developing a continuous improvement culture via the development of the following capabilities:

  • Problem-Solving
  • Visual Mgmt
  • Kaizen
  • TPM
  • 5S
  • Waste Reduction Processes
  • Training for Frontline Team Members and Leaders of new processes
  • Technology Implementation for the facility vs. Current State 

While partnering with site leadership teams in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering in delivering on KPIs including COGS and EBITDA.  As a Sauer Brands team member, the candidate will execute special projects and initiatives as assigned, ensure safety is a condition, and drive operational improvements. Furthermore, the candidate must embrace and support the building of OurRecipe@SauerBrands.

Skills Requirement:

  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 6σ Greenbelt certification; 6σ Blackbelt certification is a plus
  • Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle/prioritize responsibilities
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across a variety of stakeholders
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Engineering degree – Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing
  • 5+ Years of experience in a manufacturing plant (management level a plus)
  • Working in a union facility is a plus
  • Experience with ERP System(s), Oracle (Peoplesoft) preferred

 Performance History Requirement:

  • Documented history of making improvements in assigned work area/responsibilities
  • Stellar references based on contributions and performance
