Are you looking for a summer job? Sauder Woodworking Co. is looking for hard-working, reliable people to help us meet our manufacturing demands over the summer months. Summer employment is temporary employment intended to cover the needs of our production workforce and ensure our full-time employees can enjoy their vacation time. 

 

Sauder Woodworking Co. is North America’s leading producer of Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) furniture and one of the top five residential furniture manufacturers in the United States. Recently we’ve grown beyond furniture with our Sauder Building Products division, which provides value, quality, and environmentally conscious interior laminate products like cabinets and closet systems to the professional building materials market.

PAY/HOURS

  • New to Sauder – $15.00/hour | Returning Employees – $15.50/hour
  • $2.00/hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd Shift positions
  • 1st Shift (6:30 am – 2:30 pm) | 2nd Shift (2:30 pm – 10:30 pm) | 3rd Shift (10:30 pm – 6:30 am)
  • All shifts are Mon – Fri
  • We will need a defined start and end date at the start of the season.
  • At this time, we are not hiring minors so you must be 18 or older to be considered.

Immediate family members of current Sauder employees will be given preference followed by those who have worked for us in the past. 

 

POSITION SUMMARIES

  • Building Products – Cabinetry Assembly: Join the fastest growing division at Sauder Woodworking. In this role you will work on an assembly line assembling kitchen cabinetry that are made to order. Go to https://youtu.be/hE0meDztDc4 to see what that looks like!
  • Packing: Work with our Ready-to-Assemble packing team to take finished parts and package them for shipping. See what that looks like here: https://youtu.be/gG5e9uHThns
  • Machine Operation: Get experience in the manufacturing environment, helping to feed boards and run machines. You will work alongside experienced machine operators and learn from them how your machine works.   • Distribution Center: Help pick and ship orders out of our Erie Distribution Center. We have a state-of-the-art Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) that helps to pick and ship orders direct to consumers. REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent attendance
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Physically able to lift 20 lbs on a continuous basis, twist and bend consistently and grip boards and small parts
  • Flexible and willing to assist in any duties assigned
  • Run and monitor production to produce quality product in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain area according to 5S policy
