POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the inspection and loading of trucks, pulling of product and general routine maintenance in receiving warehouses. Working under the direction of the Shipping Manager, assigned duties, established priorities and production needs, are accepted and responded to in order to efficiently maintain the warehouse in accordance with established parameters.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Knows and understands all warehouse policies and procedures.
• Responsible for reacting to the needs of the shipping schedule relative to pulling skids
• Ensures all deliveries are inspected, unloaded, dated and properly rotated and correctly received in the system
• Maintains the work area in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.
• Routinely follows all procedures developed for maintaining skids.
• Willingly accepts all assignments and completes tasks efficiently and effectively. Works to completes tasks without with need for constant supervision.
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude in all dealings with other employees, customers, and vendor personnel.
• Respond to the needs of production for raw ingredients.
• Insure all deliveries are inspected, unloaded, dated and properly rotated.
• Operate material handling equipment and other equipment in a safe and careful manner at all times.
• Follow all SCF Core Values and be a team player
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  •  High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Warehouse
  • Previous forklift experience 
  • Ability to lift or move various products and or items ranging in weight from 25 to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in fluctuating temperature environments ranging from -15 to 55 F
  • Must have flexibility of job assignments 
  • Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
  • Team oriented and Self motivated 
  • Able to work in a cold/wet environment
  • Good communications and basic computer skills
