At Sandridge Crafted Foods, we are committed to producing high-quality soups and food products. We are seeking a Paste Pump and Emulsifier Machine Operator to join our second-shift team. This role is crucial in operating our paste pump and emulsifier machines, ensuring accurate ingredient preparation, and supporting production efficiency while following strict food safety protocols. This position comes with a $2 shift differential for the second shift, making it an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy evening hours.

Position Overview:
As a 2nd Shift Paste Pump & Likwifier Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and cleaning the Graco SaniForce paste pump, the Likwifier emulsifier, and similar machines. This role also involves weighing and preparing ingredients for production, ensuring consistency and quality. We welcome applicants experienced with related equipment, such as Silverson mixers, high-shear blenders, and fluid transfer pumps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and clean the Graco SaniForce paste pump, the Likwifier emulsifier, and other high-shear mixers or transfer pumps.
• Weigh and prepare ingredients accurately according to recipes, staging them for production.
• Ensure consistent product flow and proper emulsification to meet quality standards.
• Monitor product quality throughout the process, reporting any issues to QA.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including thorough cleaning between batches.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and complete necessary documentation to ensure food safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and report any issues for repair.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Process Flow Documents for each product batch.
• Stay alert for allergens and cross-contamination risks throughout production.
• Assist with other tasks as directed by the Lead or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is not required.
• Experience: Experience with food processing equipment (such as Silverson mixers, high-shear blenders, or transfer pumps) is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Language: Proficiency in English, with the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, use hands, and lift to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Work Environment: Ability to work in varying temperatures, including cooking, refrigerated, and freezer areas.
