Role Purpose: The Quality supervisor will be responsible for the daily quality department inspection personal and daily inspection requirements. They will work with other supervisors to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement which include process improvements across the Humanetics facility addressing internal and external non-conformances. Ensuring that all Humanetics policies and procedures are followed and adherence to established ISO requirements.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:  

 

  • Inspection of incoming, work-in process and final materials
  • Maintain all required equipment calibrations per ISO specifications
  • Develop/Update quality processes to support reduction in scrap, rework, and customer non-conformances
  • Develop/Update all inspection method and/or procedures for quality department
  • Maintain a cross-trained staff and ensure all inspectors are trained on new/update policies
  • Review / Audit training recorders for accuracy
  • Participate and support continuous improvement activity within the facility, standardization of manufacturing processes, scrap reduction, non-conformance mitigation for internally and externally customers
  • Review customer complaint for containment and disposition of materials
  • Champion root cause and corrective action process for quality concerns(internal/external) and develop corrective actions to provide prompt resolution (8D / 3L5Y)
  • Review/Track Engineering Change Orders that affect the facility/quality department, which include reviewing of part(s), containment of part(s) and disposition of part(s)
  • Train all personnel to quality expectations and customer quality issues within the manufacturing facility
  • Assist with material disposition for non-conformances within the facility
  • Supervision of non-exempt quality inspectors within the quality department
  • Distribute and direct daily work assignments received from quality manager to the inspection team
  • Monitor all requirements for ISO certifications to ensure conformance
  • Assistance with ISO external and internal audits
  • Program and operator CMM for part inspection (Polyworks software)
  • Support all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Quality Manager

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree required in a technical field of study (minimum)
  • 2-4 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2-4 years experience in supervision
  • CMM, Blueprint / GD&T experience
  • ISO 9001, ISO 17025. and ISO 14001 experience
  • Must be computer literate on all Windows applications
