We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Analyst to join our team in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will have experience in SharePoint Admin and Development, with secondary skills in Copilot Studio and Microsoft AI tools. The IT Systems Analyst will manage and optimize our SharePoint environment, develop custom solutions, and leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation across the organization. This hybrid role offers both office and work from home options.

What the job is all about:

  • Configure, manage, and secure SharePoint Online to facilitate teamwork, information access, collaboration, and automation across the enterprise.
  • Use PowerShell for automating administrative tasks and managing SharePoint environments.
  • Manage user identities and access using Entra ID
  • Migrate and/or synchronize data to SharePoint Online from other enterprise platforms.
  • Develop custom web parts and extensions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Automate workflows with Power Automate and build custom applications with PowerApps.
  • Ensure data security and compliance meet organizational policies.
  • Configure and deploy Bot Framework skills for use in Copilot Studio.
  • Streamline processes by creating and customizing AI-driven assistants to improve efficiency across Business Units.
  • Work with the IT Business Partner and business unit leaders to understand workflow needs and challenges, collaborate on solutions, negotiate agreed upon deliverables and deliver training to help progress business processes in our M365 environment.
  • Set up and manage Azure resources for deploying AI solutions.
  • Use generative and agentic AI frameworks to enhance productivity and drive innovation across business units.
  • Analyze data to derive insights and improve decision-making.

 

 

Who you are:

  • Post Secondary Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 5-7 years of related technical experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate are beneficial.
  • Proven experience in SharePoint Admin and Development.
  • Experience with Copilot Studio and Microsoft AI tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience with mentoring, hiring and performance review contributions is a plus.
  • Strong technical skills in SharePoint Online, PowerShell, M365 Integration, Entra ID, SharePoint Migration, SQL Server, SPFx, Power Automate, PowerApps.
  • Knowledge of setting up and managing Azure resources for deploying AI solutions. This includes configuring app registrations in Microsoft Entra ID for tenant configurations.
  • Proficiency in using generative and agentic AI tools to enhance productivity and drive innovation. This includes creating and deploying AI-driven agents.
  • Skills in analyzing data to derive insights and improve decision-making. This involves using AI tools to manage tasks, book appointments, and send confirmation emails.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity to develop innovative solutions. This includes troubleshooting errors during skill registration and ensuring compliance considerations.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and creativity.
  • Ability to work independently drawing on experience to escalate as needed.
