The Camera Motion Systems’ team is recruiting a Software Developer to participate in new product development, product sustaining, and customer support for the Ross Video Robotics portfolio.

What the job is all about:

• Participate in full product development lifecycle: requirements gathering, scoping, design, implementation, automation, testing, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the hardware team: Work with hardware designers on component selection, operating system bring-up, component integration and debugging including in-circuit debugging. Meet hardware-driven deadlines (support prototypes, design reviews, board spins).
• End-to-end software development:

• Write and modify software code in C and C++.
• Test software using end-user application(s) and use cases.
• Develop and run unit tests
• Use diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
• As part of the software team, develop other features relevant to our robotics portfolio.

• Work with Product Verification/Test Automation team to develop automated test scripts and procedures.

• Evaluate, develop, optimize, and support robotic algorithms used in our products

Who you are:

• Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Computer Science or in a related area with appropriate experience.
• C/C++ programming experience, preferably in a mechatronics/automation environment
• Experience developing using source code revision systems e.g. Git.
• Working knowledge of Linux development tools
• Knowledge of mechatronics, control theory, and/or control systems
