The Financial Analyst – Revenue will be responsible for intercompany eliminations and accounting requirements for revenue transactions under IFRS. This will require timely and complete month end close procedures, preparing revenue accounting entries and reconciliations, generating specific financial reports and providing the required audit support for revenue transactions. This position will also assist with establishing processes within our new ERP system, supporting the go live of the ERP system and then playing a vital role in developing and implementing business process improvements and required internal controls surrounding revenue recording under IFRS 15.

What the job is all about:
- Responsible for supporting the month end close process, preparing and reconciling revenue and deferred revenue accounting transactions, ensuring revenue for completed services is earned in the correct period.
- Develop and maintain reports used for tracking deferred sales transactions ensuring the company is compliant with IFRS standards.
- Prepare and reconcile consolidation entries and balance intercompany transactions between entities.
- Prepare quarterly review of open AR for services sales to ensure projects are complete and AR collections are received.
- Maintain reconciliations and working papers used for financial reporting and analysis, external audits, and year-end processes.
- Provide the required audit support for revenue transactions
- Provide data and analysis to assist in decision making and problem solving.
- Support the transition to the new ERP system and the establishment of the new business processes under IFRS reporting.
- Ad-hoc project work as assigned.
Who you are:
- Degree in Business/Accounting
- Minimum 5-7 years combined experience in accounting, finance, and audit.
- Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (ASPE and/or IFRS)
- Experience with various accounting software (LN an asset),
- Advanced skill level with MS Office and Excel
- Solid level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to explain financial concepts and to interact with credibility with peers and management within the organization.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and adherence to financial regulations are critical for success in this role.
- Experience working with a High Tech, Software Products or Manufacturing organization would be an asset
