Ross Research Labs is seeking a Developer Analyst - AI Solutions to enhance Ross Video’s R&D workflows and processes through the strategic implementation of artificial intelligence tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will focus on augmenting R&D efficiency by integrating AI solutions that streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, and foster innovation. You will collaborate closely with R&D teams to identify opportunities for AI integration specifically aimed at improving productivity, implement effective solutions, and drive measurable enhancements in efficiency.

What the job is all about:

AI Tools Assessment and Implementation:

• Identify and evaluate AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, OpenAI API, Cursor) to improve R&D workflows. Determine how these tools can be effectively utilized across various R&D activities such as ideation, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Assess the adoption and usage frequency of these tools within R&D teams.
• Customize and implement AI tools to meet team-specific needs and enhance productivity.
• Develop and deploy tailored tools to improve efficiency in targeted areas (e.g., Aura-Coder).

Workflow Optimization:

• Analyze existing R&D workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas.
• Deploy AI-driven solutions that automate routine tasks and reduce development bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate AI tools seamlessly into existing processes, ensuring maximum efficiency gains.
• Redesign workflows leveraging AI capabilities to optimize team outcomes.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement:

• Collect and analyze feedback on the effectiveness of current AI tools, identifying success factors and areas needing enhancement, and present findings to management.
• Identify pain points, limitations, and unmet needs related to AI tool usage within R&D.
• Propose enhancements and innovative ideas for leveraging AI to further boost productivity.

Objective Setting and KPI Tracking:

• Define clear and measurable objectives, such as improving productivity or reducing development cycle times.
• Develop a timeline for testing, evaluating, and upgrading AI tools.
• Help establish metrics to realistically track improvements, including user adoption rates, productivity metrics, and error reduction.

Pilot Testing and Rollout:

• Initiate pilot programs to test AI enhancements with select R&D teams.
• Gather feedback during pilot phases and iterate on solutions as necessary.
• Plan and execute full rollouts of successful AI implementations across R&D teams.
• Continuously monitor KPIs and provide reports for visibility into progress and impact.

Technical Development and Support:

• Engage in hands-on coding and development tasks using Python, Node.js, or Golang to adapt tools to team needs.
• Develop small-scale AI models or workflows to address specific challenges in R&D processes.
• Collaborate on ensuring implemented solutions are reliable, scalable, and optimized for performance in production environments.
• Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining AI tools to ensure seamless operation.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies into existing systems and processes.
• Communicate AI concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to teams to maximize the effective utilization of AI tools and workflows.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and management to ensure alignment on objectives and priorities.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in implementing AI or workflow optimization solutions.
• Hands-on experience with software development and AI tool integration.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and AI-related tasks.
• Familiarity with machine learning principles and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Basic experience with cloud platforms like AWS for AI workloads.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong ability to assess workflows and identify areas for improvement.
• Proficiency in conducting feasibility and cost-benefit analyses.
• Ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable solutions.

Bonus points if you have the following:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on artificial intelligence or machine learning.
• Certifications or additional training in AI, machine learning, or related areas.
• Experience in the broadcast or video production industry.
• Advanced experience in developing and implementing custom AI solutions.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
