As a Senior Industrial Engineering Specialist, you will drive the optimization of processes across all manufacturing areas in our Iroquois facilities.  Collaborating with various departments, external stakeholders and various levels of management to develop standard processes and establish measurement standards throughout our manufacturing facility, you will oversee the technical direction of our Industrial Engineering initiatives, leading complex projects to drive significant improvements in efficiency, quality, safety and costs.

What the job is all about:

This role involves but is not limited to providing mentorship to junior team members, sharing knowledge, best practices and expertise. Lead complex projects with a wide range of tasks, including studies relating to process management and optimal use of machinery, materials and resources. Facilitate the introduction of new equipment and ensure compliance.  Implement and manage advanced systems for collecting production time and efficiency data.  You will lead projects of various sizes, related to facility layout & design for continuous improvement, as well as corrective action initiatives, ensuring timely resolution of issues. You will promote environmental sustainability, collaborate on workstation design, evaluate and assess industrial facilities to ensure they meet operational and health & safety standards. You will also be a technical resource for compliance audits for regulatory bodies.

 

Who you are:

  • BEng in Industrial Engineering, with relative BEng experience (7 years), or equivalent education/experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green belt or Black belt.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated continuous learning and professional development.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, AutoCAD, Visio and data analysis tools like Power BI.
  • Skilled in performing detailed cost analysis for cost reduction opportunities, including optimizing energy consumption and reducing waste; as well as collecting and analyzing production data.

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Demonstrated Project management experience.
  • Experience with PCB assembly processes.
  • Proven experience in designing and optimizing factory layouts and process flows to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage advanced systems for collecting and analyzing production data.
