Location/Schedule:
175 Emery Highway, Macon. GA
36-40 hours – Sunday-Saturday hours vary
Responsibilities:
- Assess client health problems and needs.
- Develops and implements nursing care plans and maintains medical records.
- Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.
- May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
- May supervise support or lower-level staff. Observes nurses and visits clients to ensure proper nursing care is provided.
- Monitors all aspects of client care.
- Monitors, records, and reports symptoms and changes in clients’ conditions.
- Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care plans.
- Assures that unit is adequately staffed each shift.
- Provides education to clients and family.
Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):
- Current Georgia license to practice as a registered professional nurse.
- One plus years of professional nursing experience.
- Ability to perform CPR/First Aid.
- Strong safety orientation. Ensures the safety and security of clients and staff.
- Knowledge of nursing policies, procedures, protocols, treatments, standards of care, and nurse practice act.
- Knowledge of the procedures for medication administration and can administer oral, sublingual, and IV medications: knowledge of pharmacology.
