Serving more than 10,000 Georgians, River Edge continues to be one of the state's leading resources for mental health, substance use disorder treatments and supports as well as individuals with intellectual and development disabilities. River Edge offers outpatient services at our Emery Highway-Macon, Monroe County and Baldwin County locations. Outpatient services include behavioral health, nursing, and psychiatric assessment, stabilization and medication maintenance services as well as crisis intervention services as well as awareness, education and recovery groups.
Macon Recovers is an Addiction Recovery Support Center that is a peer led environment that offers a set of non-clinical activities that engage, educate and support individuals and families successfully to make life changes necessary to establish, maintain and enhance recovery (health and wellness) from substance use disorders. The recovery activities are community-based services for individuals with a substance use disorder; and consist of activities that promote recovery, self-determination, self-advocacy, well-being, and independence. Activities are individualized, recovery-focused, and based on a relationship that supports a person's ability to promote their own recovery. Macon Recovers focuses on building social support, linkage to and coordinating among other service providers, eliminating barriers to independence and continued recovery.

595 Wimbish Road, Macon
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
In this role you will…. provide leadership and day to day management at a peer support recovery program. The peer support program recognizes that there are many paths to recovery and provides a safe space for individuals wishing to recover from addiction. The manager(?) supervises staff, provides peer support to individuals, is actively involved with community partners to advocate, educate, expand resources, and provide hope to those with addictive disease, their loved ones and the community at large.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and implement compliance with policies/procedures/guidelines for all funding/credentialing bodies (DBHDD)
- Engage individuals and families in recovery activities that promote independence
- Be willing to publicly self- identify as being in recovery from a mental health, substance use or addiction diagnosis and share own story of recovery as an inspiration to others
- Monitor budgets and ensure KPIs are met
- Monitor staffing patterns (hires, trains and retains staff)
- Ensure timesheets are completed weekly and submitted by deadline
- Implement changes in program standards
- Complete monthly reports, and submits to supervisor by deadline
- Ensure timely documentation by staff
- Monitor training records for all staff
- Attends and participate in all required meetings and committees
- Works in a professional manner with all community partners
- Maintain appropriate professional and personal boundaries and be a positive, healthy role model for clients and staff

- Perform other related job duties as required or assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPS-AD certification and have at least two years’ experience working in the addiction recovery field.

Supervisory Alliance: Recognizing that the supervisee relationship develops over time and that the stage of relationship development influences the rule, roles, and expectations of the alliance.
Critical Thinking: Understanding the various contexts (organizational, political, societal, cultural) in which supervision is conducted.
Organizational Management and Administration: Being familiar with and abiding by current principles, laws, ethical guidelines and agency policies regarding personnel management.
