Corporate - Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Rite Rug has been one of the top privately owned flooring companies for 90 years.  We are looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team!  

$19 an hour.  

Overview:  This role is essential in managing the check-in process of materials and ensuring accurate inventory tracking through computer systems. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Check-In:
• Receive and inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy against purchase orders.
• Document any discrepancies and communicate with suppliers or relevant departments.
• Inventory Management:
• Input received materials into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
• Tag items with appropriate labels and ensure proper placement in the warehouse.
• Data Entry:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and movements in the computer system.
• Assist with regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with warehouse team members to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate effectively regarding stock levels, shortages, and other relevant information.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety protocols while handling materials.
• Ensure that the workspace is organized and free of hazards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role preferred.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and warehouse management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
