PT - Direct Support Professional (DSP) Support Services - Street

We are seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands on care to an individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Support Services professionals assist individuals and families living in their personal home.

Services provided are personalized and directed by the individual receiving supports and may include but are not limited to: assistance with personal hygiene, total  

The current needs for this position are:

Monday and Fridays, which can be flexible in hours, but up to 8 hours a day.

Saturdays, which can be flexible in hours, and number of Saturdays a month. (Example: 1 Saturday a month or every other Saturdays, for 4 hours or up to 8 hours.)

Support staff needed to assist and engage with a young woman with independent living skills, some community activities or outings (when safe/appropriate), playing games, puzzles, arts and crafts, listening to music, walks on the horse farm, swimming in the summer time at the family pool.

Support Services DSP’s receive mileage and activity reimbursements!

Paid trainings, including CPR/First Aid

DSP’s assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:

• Assisting with participation and exploration of the community.
• Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
• Assisting with development of meaningful and personal relationships
• Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals

Eligible candidates must have a high school degree/GED and a current driver’s license with less than three points on their driving record.
