The Opportunity

Our strength is in identifying and exploring design concepts that are idea-driven, modern, and sensitive to social and physical surroundings. Our success lies with helping our community foster their own understanding of design principles and how it can transform lives. Dwell is seeking a temporary editorial intern to work with our editorial team. Our interns typically work an average of 15 - 25 hours per week (max 30 hours) for a 6-month period and are compensated at $25/hour. 

Responsibilities

• Help index and optimize new articles published daily
• Help with print magazine tasks
• Support Dwell’s e-commerce efforts, including adding products to Dwell Shop
• Build out online resources
• Write original content for Dwell.com as needed

Qualifications

• Clear understanding of Dwell’s content and tone.
• Responsible, creative, motivated, and takes initiative.
• Excellent English-language writing skills with unwavering attention to detail.
• Passion for design and architecture.
• Ability to attend meetings during the workday New York time.
• Suggested: Experience writing in a public medium.
