The Opportunity

Recurrent Military is looking to hire a full time video producer for The War Zone (TWZ) YouTube channel. TWZ Video Producer will execute all elements of creation, production and post-production for TWZ video series including pitching, writing, voicing, editing and managing the video projects. We are seeking a multifaceted, self-sufficient producer who can harness multiple talents and skills to produce this content end-to-end. 

TWZ YouTube is rapidly growing its subscriber base and looking to accelerate the frequency and breadth of its video postings. TWZ Video Producer would be essential to meeting these goals by efficiently emulating brand voice, promptly delivering scripts and revisions and adhering to a fast-paced editing and posting schedule. 

TWZ Video Producer will work alongside and report to TWZ Editor in Chief.

The Responsibilities

Maintain and adhere to production and posting schedule. Manage and coordinate with TWZ EIC and other collaborators to meet target deadlines and posting dates. 

• Write original video scripts (~20min rt)

• Adapt complex editorial articles into video scripts 

• Record Voice Over narration 

• Edit videos and apply simple graphics, titles and other elements

• Coordinate and collaborate with outside GFX artist when needed 

• Gather and apply needed assets (stock, templates, animations, etc) within specified budget

• Track YouTube analytics and audience data to report and apply to creative execution

• Track and report YouTube financial data and trends and forecast future earnings

• Fact check and QC all video components for absolute accuracy

• Maintain ownership over YouTube page operations (posting, titling, tagging, boosting/ SEO, rights issues, etc)

• Engage with TWZ audience through YouTube comments (curating when needed) 

The Qualifications

• Military experience and veterans are highly encouraged to apply 

• Must have a strong familiarity with basic military weapons systems

• 5+ Years of professional experience in creative writing, production and video editing

• Experience providing voiceover narration to video and/ or radio projects (having a reel is preferred)

• 5+ Years of experience video editing using Premiere Pro or other video editing software

• Working knowledge of After Effects 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to manage multi-level stakeholders to elicit cohesion and adherence to timelines and guidelines.
