Hourly Wage: 

 $19.00 - $21.25 (Candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Description:

Our Member Service Department is looking for member focused, success driven team members to work in our in-bound call center! As a Member Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our members, providing outstanding quality service and support to current and potential new Members, team members, and businesses. You will handle inbound calls, assist with inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience.

This position involves using multiple systems and programs in a high-volume and fast-paced environment while assisting Members with first level technical support with credit union online banking, telephone banking, debit/credit cards and all deposit related functions. You will be responsible for utilizing your knowledge to answer questions and use logical reasoning to research and solve problems, perform transactions, and provide Royal Credit Union products and services that meet the Member’s needs.

Work Schedule:

Working approximately 40 hours per week. Hours and shifts vary between 8:30 - 7:00pm Monday through Friday along with two required Saturday shifts per month from 8:30am - 2:00pm*Team members must be available to be scheduled during any of these dates/times.           

Location:

Onsite training is required at the Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI until proficient in the position which is typically the first 6-9 months. This position is part of Royal's workplace flexibility program and has the ability to be partially remote up to 4-5 days a week after full training period. When not working remote, the office location is flexible at either the Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI or at our Business Center in Chippewa Falls, WI based on office availability and candidate preference.               

Please Note: We reserve the right to extend the training time in office as necessary.

 

Training:

Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging. 

  • Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.

Required Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have strong phone, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be compassionate and truly enjoy assisting people with problems and finding solutions to their needs. 
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to de-escalate upset Members in order to satisfactorily address their service needs.
  • Ability to work in a structured work environment and learn, retain, and recall information very quickly.
  • Ability to exhibit basic skills in using a personal computer and various software packages (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture.

Preferred Skills:

  • Associate’s Degree in business related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with multiple software systems that require data entry simultaneously.
  • Previous experience working in a financial institution.
  • Previous experience working in a customer service environment providing exceptional service and support.
