Royal Credit Union has an exciting opportunity to join our Mortgage Post-Closing Team!  This opportunity is classified as Limited-Term and will have a term end date of December 31, 2025.  The position is eligible for medical and dental insurance, all other benefits are excluded.

 

Hourly Wage:

$19.86/hr - $22.25/hr (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Work Schedule:

Working approximately 40 hours per week. Variable hours between 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

**Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.

 

Description:

The Mortgage Post Closing Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support for all loan closing and funding activities. Reviews closing documents for delivery to the investors for loan purchase. Provides support to both Royal Credit Union Team Members and Members for all of Royal's mortgage loan products with exceptional, efficient, and accurate Member service.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Document Management: Compile, review, and deliver closing documents to investors for loan purchases, ensuring accuracy and consistency of signatures and dates. Monitor final documents and work with Title Companies to ensure timely receipt and accuracy.
  • Loan Processing: Check in closed packages, review for boarding/interfacing, and interface, board, and payoff loans in Royal’s core operating system. Activate mortgage insurance certificates and complete daily registration and transfer of MERS data.
  • Investor Relations: Work with investors to clear pre-purchase and post-purchase missing items and deliver accurate closed loan documents within allowed time guidelines.
  • Government and Agency Compliance: Remit government insurance premiums and documents to appropriate agencies and manage MHFA and FHLB Grant loans within their respective websites.
  • Support and Training: Assist in training and provide support for Post-Closing Mortgage Support Specialists on complex questions or scenarios. Assist with front desk duties as needed.
  • Communication and Process Improvement: Communicate effectively and professionally with leaders, peers, team members, vendors, and Members. Bring forward new ideas and suggestions for process improvements and assist in implementing efficiencies.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform some accounting tasks as required.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain effective and professional business relationships with Members and lending partners.

 

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Have a working knowledge of financial services and basic accounting principles
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Knowledge of modern business communication, including style and format of letters, memoranda, minutes, and reports
  • Ability to work productively in a high volume, team environment with high levels of interruption
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision
  • Ability to produce accurate and high-quality materials, data entry, and transactions
  • Basic skill to use a personal computer and various software packages including Microsoft Office products
  • Strong interviewing and listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture.

 

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • One year working experience in the field of Mortgage/Title experience.
