Summary
Prosperity Life Insurance Group, LLC is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Senior Analyst within their Allocations and Expense Management Department. This position reports directly to the department AVP.
Major Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in the development, monitoring and review of the overall company budget. Outlines and tracks actual performance to budget by cost center and develops ad-hoc analysis and reporting as deemed necessary to interpret financial results for the AVP.
- Prepares monthly accruals and performs monthly analysis of departmental spend vs budgets, including the re-forecast. Works with cost center leaders to detail/support variances to budget.
- Assist in the development, monitoring and review of the overall compensation planning. Outlines and tracks actual performance to budget by cost center and compensation line expense and develops ad-hoc analysis and reporting as deemed necessary to interpret financial results for the AVP.
- Prepares monthly accruals and performs monthly analysis of variable compensation plan costs vs budgets, including the re-forecast. Works with the AVP and HR to detail/support variances to budget.
- Reports and summarizes actuals and variances to budget on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for the Director to support GAAP and STAT expense reporting requirements
- Performs intercompany analysis and prepares settlements/reconciliations for the AVP
- Tracks, reconciles and records all Fixed Asset data, including depreciation/amortization and reconciliations for the AVP
- Ensures compliance with MAR/SOX for relevant processes and provides support for the internal and external audit processes
- Assist with FP&A initiatives outside of Allocation and Expense Management on an ad-hoc basis
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not carry any supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience and Skills
- 1-3 years of experience with expense management and corporate expense allocations
- Experience in GAAP and Statutory insurance accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Very strong analytical skillset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, in accordance with deadlines, and with a variety of stakeholders
- Effective communication and relationship building skills with both internal and external business partners
- Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
