Interior Designer II - Health and Wellness
Make an Impact
As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for leading the full-scale design process on Health and Wellness projects, including conceptual design, space planning, and signage. You are proficient in the use of Revit/AutoCAD document production, and contract administration, while confidently liaising with clients and consultants. You contribute and occasionally lead phases of the design, ensuring compliance with design principles, project budget, and schedule.
Deliver Results
- Develop pre-design & programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and coordinate project design assignments, as well as develop design documentation.
- Attend on-site visits and field reviews, leading interactions with clients, contractors and vendors as needed.
- Proficient in quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes and applicable codes, with the ability to conduct research on requirements for technical documents.
- Assist in developing specifications for materials, finishes, fixed equipment, construction time, and cost.
- Research and select project materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment, sharing information with the design team.
- Develop and lead the interior design content for design development packages, including prototypes and mockups as necessary.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines to deliver a cohesive, high-quality design.
- Assist the Interior Design Discipline Leader or Team Leader in guiding the overall project process, including developing work plans, proposals and budgets.
- Mentor less experienced staff and assist in their professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or equivalent in education and experience.
- NCIDQ certification.
- 10+ years of post-graduate interior design experience.
- An outstanding portfolio of past work that highlights a creative talent in conceptual design highlighting rendering skills and/or hand sketches.
- Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign are required with the ability to produce construction documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare design experience highly preferred.
- Associate IIDA or ASID.
- CSI-CDT certification preferred (or willingness to complete within 1 year).
- WELL AP and/or LEED certification.
